This dieting stuff is too hard!

from Janet Elizabeth Henderson.

It’s day two of my diet (don’t worry, I don’t plan to blog every day!) and I’m stuck already. After spending hours yesterday going through diet books on my shelf and weighing up all the different plans (pun intended) – Weight Watchers, Low Carb, Low Fat, 5:2 Fast, Paleo, Counting Calories, Quitting Sugar, Mediterranean Diet, Blood Sugar Diet, Vegan, Vegetarian – I’ve decided to just stop eating!

I don’t have the energy (or time!) to count points, or calories, or fat grams. I don’t have the stomach to eat just meat. And I don’t have the will to cut out sugar. Seriously? What is life without cake??? So after much thought, I’ve decided that for the next seven days I’m going to try this – skip breakfast, have a bran muffin for lunch (if desperate, otherwise I’ll skip that too) and then eat a normal dinner with my family.

I know this plan looks like a train wreck waiting to happen, and it’s possible you’re laughing as you read it – goodness knows I’m laughing as I write it! – but this is what happens when you want to lose weight, but you don’t want to diet. You get desperate to find the easiest (for you) solution and then see if it works. I’m going to call this diet the “lazy person’s eating plan.” I’ll let you know how it goes a week from now. 😀

In case you’re wondering where the other half of this blogging duo is, Elizabeth is on a family holiday. When she gets back she’ll fill you in on her more sensible eating plan. She’s doing Weight Watchers, I think! Until her return, you get to suffer my insanity. Lucky you!

Until the next time I need to get some dieting thoughts off my chest – happy eating! x

  1. Sounds like you are doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting plan. It’s actually a thing! Will be interested to know if it works. Good luck!
